Did I say limit electros only?? I thought I said a bps limit, I didn't specify... To make myself more clear:

"If there was a way to do it, and I was running a scenario, I would try to enforce a 10-12 bps limit. Pump, semi, electric, slingshot, I don't care what, just a flat out BPS limit."

If I were laying cover fire, and a player got hit by every single shot, then I would be extremely lucky, he would be extremely unlucky, and every single one of my shots would have had 95% luck involved. The 5% comes from I was intentially shooting in his direction. I do not believe that the "fast shooting" game takes no skill. Shooting 40 balls at a person in two seconds and getting one hit just isn't that good. If a "fast shooter" shoots 10 balls and hits his target, that is much better. I mean it all depends on the situation, everyone knows what is skillful and what isn't. Woodsball doesn't necessarily take more accuracy. A slower shooting gun takes more accuracy. If you are playing pump, you better be accurate or your first shot is gonna blow your cover. If you are playing 20+bps, you can shoot 30 feet away from a target, but the other 19 balls I bet will fall somewhere a little closer.

Didn't mean to beat up on any one kind of player. But, if I could, I would limit playing to 10-12 bps. Why any faster??

EDIT: But if that my ideas don't work, I had a great time on saturday. I played one of the very first missions along side Carolina Riot, and many of them use electros. They play with skill, integrity, and electros, and I have no problem (in fact, I prefer) playing with people like them. About every mission I ran had multiple electros on it. I would rather play a scenario with no bps rule than no scenario at all. I had no trouble taking out players, or being overshot. Its not the gun I don't like, its some people with those guns that take advantage. KEY NOTE: There are people with semis out there just like that, but they just don't have the capability to do it. An ass with a spyder is not going to be able to be too much of a jerk.

(Please note that I made this post prior to Aerion's response and I see that he was not talking about electro's only.) If you want a truly even playing field, make everyone use rental pumps.

Aerion, I too started playing in the days when 12 gams were the rule. I remember the same arguments being used (high rate of fire) when autotriggers and CA first came out. I get a little defensive b/c of being singled out because of the type of marker I use. I play the game with honor and want to see that reciprocated.
My first marker was an SL-68 original, not SL-68II. They were brand new back then and one of the first auto trigger markers. People thought I was a bad-ass because I had a 14" barrel. Those were the days.

With your history, I'm sure you can at least appreciate my opinion even if you don't necessarily agree with it and that is all I really want.

I don't think electros are intrinsically bad nor those who play with them. It's all about how they are used.

And on the pedestal these words appear:

"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains: round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away
.

First off- I would also like to say kudos to all the refs, coordinators, generals, teammates and opponents for a great game. It was a blast as usual even though we got our asses handed to us... As with any scenario, you could go on and on forever about the defects in the organization and/or execution of how the game was played. Anyway, I will shut up... Just wanted to say hey, and I had a great time again (despite the heat and new boots-OUCH!)
SIDE NOTE: My husband wants to apologize for jumping the gun on Tig. After an ass whooping like that, to think that he was getting his nose rubbed in it- he was too quick to jump on him. We know he was kidding so no worries. That isnt in his character.

sheeew that is a relief: i was actually in the process of boarding up Tig's house, changing the names on his birth and marriage certificates, and placing his wife and kids in the Witness Protection Program while he is at work.. now i will go and change my shorts

my wife was logged on when i realized what a shithead i am. so even though i was telling her what to type as far as my apology, it needs to come from me directly. TIG- that was my fault. bottom line, i'm not sore about losing- i'm sore about how and why we lost. you know what i mean man. i felt like the bulk of the vc side just didn't mesh, and it was frustrating to try and make that chemistry happen. i don't think i have ever personally made so many suicide runs directly into enemy squads in my life... and i KNOW my chubby stumpy ass doesn't normally jog/run to and from the insertion point. i tried so hard to LEAD the charge yesterday and i guess the defeat was crushing for me. then to have you joke about it, i was in the defensive mindset and vented on you man. my sincerest apologies. if you're of age, cuz i can't remember which one you are, i owe you a handshake and a cold 6pack when we see you next time.
ps- i also do some light welding as part of my other hobby, rock crawling. we have more than paintball in common.

When I turned around to see whick one it was there were three people inside the tower. shot me in the back 11 times. I got the welts to prove it. The 11 was on skin. Thats not counting the 5 to 6 that busted on my pack. All of this from 8 feet away. I am not whining. I am informing that it was happening on both sides.
Hahaha, that was me that shot you from down below...that's my bad man.
