from an earlier post : "I also think the overshooting thing may come from the fact that sometimes for various reasons one individual player on the opposition comes to the attention of a large part of the team. We had several times yesterday when a single VC would pop up and shoot at a group of USSF players, well the entire group of players turned and shot at that single person. The result being a large volume of paint headed towards that single player. I am not sure there is a remedy for that."
YUP. Guys - this is why I personally dont like to host night games. High rates of fire at night, in mass and up close is dangerous especially if you cant see what you are hitting. This is an example of how technology can take away from the game. A similar argument can be made for a guy hiding in thick grass. (Turbo - I saw, I even have the picture of your hind quarters posthumously :0 ) I have an 8 year old that had been psuedo playing, including a few scenarios, for a few years now. He knows the field better than most of regulars players at TT. I keep a pretty close eye on him. Question: Do the players that dump in mass on impulse have the skill necessary to control their rates of fire? or Am I foolish to think that my son is safe to play scenario ball as its played now? Of should I write games geared for novice players? or restrict markers? or restrict experience? I know where Aerion is coming from. Ben Torencelli has made similar comments as have I. I also write and run 6bps games and 10bps games. These are pretty easy to enforce historically speaking. Personally I play pump, with outautotrigger, without PA, with a 90 round hopper and no xtra paint in most scenarios I play - just to lead by example - and it is pretty reassuring to go toe to toe with an Angel or DM5 and dot their eye with one well placed round. This game Sniper! Operation Switchback was billed as a gunfight. Heavy firefights. And the conflicts were written for the paint slingers - with the Sniper Roles for the sneaky pump guys. --------------------------------------- But, there is a time for all players to recognize that is a part of the paintball market that must be respected - the novice, guest, father-son teams, family teams etc, corporate groups, church groups etc. where 15bps, ramping, full auto modes, RT triggers, etc IN MASS becomes a safety concern. Imagine your first time playing 10 year old daughter catching a 2 second volly from a few massed DMs that cant see her try to cover her head. Believe me, I know where Aerion is coming from. There are places where the refs and owners dont have much concern for ROF - after all the Nickle-Nickle-Nickle sound of a ION sound pretty sweet. The owner, managers and veteran staffers of TriggerTyme respect the novice player market segment. Experienced players, and teams of all types should also. Players and field that dont are a liability to the place of business and the game. We will hold Switchback! type gunfights - and try to promote these to the veteran croud. If you like the format, we have a killer battlefield - and I can write some pretty nasty battles to challenge your wildest paintslinging imaginaton. 15bps works well for these - but getting bonus balled is something the attending players should expect and a possibility, and not get too upset when it happens. Its the nature of the game at this rate of fire. Its up to the players to control themselves. The refs will do what they can - but in the end, its up to you to play responsibily. As we think of bringing new players into scenario paintball, we will also hold 6bps, 10bps and even "10bps with a request for 6bps" scenarios. - At these event, please respect WHY we are do these events and observe the ROF caps and requests. Veternan ballers at these event should gear way back, not up. The growth of the sport is good for all. Lets all make room and encourage folks who have never played scenario ball to "come get some". If you have a real preference for limited ROF or limited paint type games, please chime in on TT's main forum. You are our customer - and we do listen. If you have creative suggestions on how to safely incorporate novice, younger and similar types of players please PM me. Thanks to all for your comments.

So...from now on, scenarios are going to be limited to 6 bps?

6bps and 10bps events will also be offered and marketed differently to reach out to the newer players, and folks who just enjoy a less paint heavy flavor. (Side note: there is a night play - PUMP ONLY scenario poll going that shows whay Im talking about) My appologies to anyone with similar confusion. I edited the post to clarify.

Carolina Riot is a " Push the enemy back team" Thats what we were when we were the Madballers and thats what we still are. We can take land and keep it once we get it. If you were to put us in a game where you have to recover items or complete missions to kill certain people we need mission squads with us for that. Our strong point is we use our guns well. Do we cheat to do that? no Do we make use of all available technologie in the the sport? Yes. Our guns rival that of any pro tournament team in the buisness. As Moose stated somewhere else. We are the only scenario team in the world sponsored by Proto and Tadao technologies. Quote:

Oh..and to Aerion, stop hating on speedball/electro owners. Just because you or someone else got shot 4 times in a row doesn't give you the right to bash all speedball and electro owners. Shooting an electro does not show lack of skill, like I've said before, it's the player that makes the player, not the gun that makes the player. The gun helps, but the player is the main source of skill. And just to let you know, I overshot, why, because I saw people wiping, and it started to annoy me when all four of my guys get at least one hit on a guy, and they bust...and he doesn't go out and I see him wipe, and he doesn't go out until I shoot him about 10 times...

Tippman owners wipe more than electro owners...and they usually cant feel it through their ghillies while they are sniping! and i thought it was really fun.. and it wasnt as organized as i thought
