i'm just picking at you man... i mean no disrespect. thats just a bit of a rediculous stereotype though. if you saw mostly tippys wiping then i can't argue. i don't see what you do... i personally just didn't see any wiping at all. i saw 1 single player all day that got lit up, by me personally. i put 3 in the air as i rushed him... all 3 hit target and he continued playing... so i let my e trigger work it magic and put another 10 or so in the air to get the message across. shortly thereafter i was eliminated and 2 of my guys had to put another 10+ rnds into him before a ref removed him from play. i did not note what type of marker he owned as i didn't feel it was significant.

A person was complaining about me playing on...when I was just asking people around me if I got hit...and the people behind me were shooting at the person...my gun was up in the air too...so I guess that kind of looks like me shooting...

Did the person have a bright green shirt on?

Crooked Butt Doctor,
We as in Carolina Riot would play against or with you guys anytime, I think you did an outstanding job and played with honor. I am still however trying to figure out you played as well as you did especially as drunk as you guys were the night before.lol

Several of the guys wanted me to commend you on the job that you do every day serving our country. So here it is "Thank you" & we look forward to slinging paint with you again sometime.

Kudo's to Thumper & the staff at TT.

eh?!! BLAHHAAHAHAA i am a Tipmann owner.. in fact, i own a DM6 and my A5 is my primary.. to your point: i dont wipe, dont need to as a certain little mod on my A5 gives me a range of about 110 yards.. oh yes, you could be well within your comfort zone sitting out on the field and i can still grab you with that thing... not sure what to make of the comment, I think Butt Doctor has already made a sound point on it so i will move along

Shooting an electro does not show lack of skill, like I've said before, it's the player that makes the player, not the gun that makes the player. The gun helps, but the player is the main source of skill. And just to let you know, I overshot, why, because I saw people wiping, and it started to annoy me when all four of my guys get at least one hit on a guy, and they bust...and he doesn't go out and I see him wipe, and he doesn't go out until I shoot him about 10 times...
My apologies if you think I hate electro owners. Many of my teammates and friends use them. And I do believe electros have their legitimate use in speedball. And electros can be and often are used responsibly.

I'm also the first one to admit that overshooting does happen occasionally and through no one's fault. I've even done it myslef, unintentionally. It's the senseless and avoidable overshoots that really bug me and I think that electros are the most likely to engage in unnecessary overshooting - due to the nature of the technology. But even a pump player COULD overshoot.

Furthermore, I like that electros generally allow you to adjust your potential rate of fire. It would suit me just fine if electros with adjustable rate of fire completely replace mechanical semi-autos. That way field owners and event producers could specify a max rate of fire for their events and publish accordingly.

If I have any problem with electros at all is it not the markers but the players. If you're the kind of player that goes out on the field with your electro and hoses people down indescriminately, then I have a problem with you. If you are careful with your fire and only use one shot when one shot will do the job but, when circumstances permit, you fire controlled barages then I don't have a problem with you at all. I would classify the latter usage as responsible.

To put it simply, Electro owners are not always bad players, but bad players almost always have electros. It is a technology that attracts the kind of players we don't necessarily want in the sport. I frankly think that paintball would be better off as a sport if rate of fire above 4 bps were banned everywhere except in speedball.

I'd also caution electro owners to especially police themselves if field owners and producers are actually placing heavy restrictions on them. It's a very good sign their use is attracting the wrong kind of attention and, in the end, it is electro users who will all suffer.

Concerning the overshooting, as long as a player has not called himself out, and has had a a reasonable opportunity to do so, he's fair game. Shoot away with my blessing. But make sure you've given the player an fair opportunity to call himself out. So if what you said was true, then IMHO you did not overshoot.

EDIT: What I'm trying to say (and hitting all around on) is that I don't think all electro owners are bad people or bad players. But I do think electros (or any other technology that enables high rates of fire) are bad for the sport because they intimidate new and young players, create a crutch that keeps players from developing good paintball skills, lead to major overshooting(intentional and unintentional) and generally exaserbate the problems caused by bad players.

Yeah, to piggy back on Aerion and something I said eariler... There probably are almost as many pricks that use semi-autos that use electros, its just that the electro users have more of a capability to overshoot someone and cause problems. An ass with a spyder is not going to be able to overshoot someone quite like an ass with an electro will be able to. I have come to a conclusion that want all types of guns out there on the field with me, but I only want PEOPLE like the types the Scenario Brotherhood would take (I am not in that, but I think I play with their values in mind, as most of the people engaging in this forum do.) Different guns make for different plans.

PS - I still wouldn't mind a 10-15 bps limit rule. I think SNIPER had a 15 bps rule, but that was loosely enforced?? Am I right on that?
