Aftermath: What was the best thing you saw?

There is a lot of talk on here, and was on saturday, about uneven teams, overshooting, wiping, and other bad crap. I am making this thread as a place for people to post the best things they saw. What was your most exciting mission? What was your best kill? Self-praising is encouraged, as I might be doing that later, once a few people post.

One of the most exciting missions to me was the tower assault by the USSF/YARDS. The VC were buried in there; I saw VC jumping from trench to trench, bunker to bunker, and they were in pretty good position. I was at the jeep, then went to no-man's land and when we were attacking from no-mans, i hear someone say, "Charge, its a smoke bomb." The USSF/YARDS had tossed in three smoke bombs in the tower and around the tower, and shortly thereafter the entire place was covered with Allies. That was freaking awesome!!

My favorite battles

1:00 HOA CAM - Wolf road in the gunship with 5 move VC including Chappy and his son in tow and proceeded to set up a defense. The gunship hovered above the trail at Da Nang, when the pilot jumped out and fell into a large splat. Wolf wisely used a parachute and somehow a VC climbed into the hovering bird.

Wolf took 2 VC down to defend Hoa Cam.

Moments later 15 USSF/YARDS showed up, a bit suprised to find the gunship protecting the path to Hoa Cam and proceeded to swarm it like ants. And the seconds tick by.

The gunship'ss occupants are shot down, and the bird is neutralized as 12 remaining USSF approach Hoa Cam down the gully.

A runner approaches the spinner as a vicious crossfire opens up from northern ridgeline. I yell 1 minute, 1 minute and runner after runner tried to penetrate the deady field of fire. Time ticks off, and the USSF runs out of gas and runners. I yell "mission complete -- wolf, you there?" -- He replies "yeah - barely".

*********************************

The other favorite of mine was then the VC and Wolf held BAN ME at 4:00. Around 30 VC dug in, 10 in the grass, 10 in the immediate village area, and 10 out by the road to delay the approaching forces.

Moments later a US Huey flys north along the Ho Chi Mihn trail towards Kontum. VC runners trail the bird at a distance. At this point a large contingent of USSF is spotted moving near Saigon - apparently having met the delay action VC force. Wolf wisely instructs the VC to use the tunnelnetwork as a spawn point just west of Saigon (behind the remote staging area). As the main body approaches and the time approches 4:00pm, a USSF gunship makes the turn on the road to Ban Me. The VC general at this point is faces with a problem. The US huey sets down atop the hill north west ban me, and the three allied forces converge on the jungle village of Hoa Cam.

The gunship makes several strafing runs down the road and through the village and the two ground forces push on.

As the objective time approachs - I get a radio message from Del "lett'um fight" and we go into what we call "Ref Magic Time" where my watch lets stuck for a minute or two. The gunship hammers away the VC force and I yell 30 seconds. The VC are surrounded and falling quickly. 10, 9, 8, and as I approach Mission complete the remaining VC defenders dogpile Wolf to keep him alive for the general lead bonus points.

I ask Wolf - "you ok under there?" He just laughs.

Mission complete - VC, by the skin wolf's backside.

there was one point where I'd say half our team came up on the leftside of nomans. It was probabbly the biggest time where paint was sprayed. the two teams got in front of each others, and paint was literally being layed as fast as possible from both teams. I went to a side and as i was hearing all this i literally got chills/goosebumps. It was pretty cool.

ahem, i will take credit for this performance.. actually, 6 smoke grenades were thrown at the tower.. in fact, i accidentally lit up one of my teammates on that attack..he reported receiving over 27 shots to the head: some from me, the rest from everyone else.. after i saw his jersey, i yeld for everyone to charge.. what i enjoyed about that experience was how the other teams closed in on the tower in synchrony which made for a very proficient display.. a few came up and shook our hands afterward.. that was freaking kool to me.. then of course, EVERYONE stayed behind and guarded the tower as opposed to running off etc..

i had a blast overall: it is hard to think of a favorite moment but one that stands out was toward the end when the USSF and Yards had to clear the VC base then advance on one of the tunnels.. we hit a lot of opposition and eventually the VC realized that they could spawn behind us.. i love overwhelming odds and surprises during battle..so i was delighted in seeing the VC spawn and come in on th rear.. made for a very lovely display of militarism and one hell of a fight.. i think one of the Little Girls got a piece of me after he rejuv'ed 3-4 times... i came back and the area was cleared and we were once again slamming the VC base

damn i love this game!!!

I'd have to agree with these two times, they were the best in the scenario. Haha, the VC base adventure consisted of our ENTIRE team going against their base...then we got surrounded by all sides and got out of the jam and turned the spinner...it was so fun.

I missed that fight at the VC base. Me and a group of 15-20 were sitting in the graveyard. We had 4 VC come at us. Oh well, you can't be at every single fun place in one day!!

Are you serious? I thought that we had our whole team with us...

Also, there was a time when some random guy in a blue mask came up to the Montegnards' base and just was chilling, and I looked at the other guys in the base and was like...brb, and came back in like 10 seconds after shooting him...I giggled.

There is nothing better that 20-30 people surrounding no mans land and on one command start pushing them back. I have done this everytime we have been to TT. It is great and everyone in there starts backing up.

Of course there was another time when there was 4 of us went all the way around the field to back side of the VC base snuck up on it and opened fire from 50 feet away. I ended up running out of air but they knew we were there after it was over with. Its great to create havoc like that.

I, myself have two favorite things. One was when about 15 USSF appoached a hovering bird(parked tank). I saw Aerion and another ref standing near by and i was thinking there was a force nearby. WRONG! There was one man inside the tank. It was a pretty hard shot. The USSF moved up to eliminate the tank when he opened fire. I flanked him and came up on his back side and shot about ten balls at the little hole in the netting. Nothing. He saw me and turned around and shot a couple. I was crouched behind one of those orange and black bunkers when i found some little holes. I watched the guy look back and forth. Then i saw him pull up the netting and get out. I got up and fired 3 shots and went back down. I remember seeing that orange on his arm. Aerion called him out and it was over. Ace and the rest of the group came up and that's when Aerion pulled a little card out of his pocket and handed it to me. He congratulated me after handing me the valor card. I handed to Ace and he said congrats.
The other one was when the USSF and Yards were moving to the VC base to try to take Ban Me. It was about 30 USSF and Yards on the road and about 30 more in the woods when one lonely VC strolled up and took a couple shots.(the idiot was alone one the road w/ no protection.) I saw about 20 guys open up on him with A LOT of paint. OK I know it was long but that was my favorite things.
