Maps / Missions and Mission FAQs
Objectives held at time - 100 points per objective
general lead mission bonus - 50 points sniper paint on general bonus - 50 points download map & missions here http://www.triggertyme.com/2006-snip...er-map-150.pdf If you look at this map - you will see a bunch of map locations and times - for example: 10:30 -- [ ] HOA CAM the way this works is, at 10:29 I ride my little 4 wheeler over to HOA CAM, and look around to see what team holds HOA CAM as my watch ticks exactly 10:30. If im late, you better wait. If im real late - try and reach me on frms channel 1 I then put an initial between the brackets as to who holds it - and this is good for 100 points. If you are a general, and your side is holding the objective, please let me know so you can recieve the 50 point bonus for "general lead" - There can be at most one 50 point bonus per side per time period. Many time slots have many objectives - for example: 02:00 -- [ ]KONTUM, [ ]HUE, [ ]HANOI Your side should try and hold all of these at exactly 2:00pm - each is worth 100 points for a total of 300 possible. the last mission has 5 objectives - for a total of 500 points possible. FAQS: Are places on the map worth anything : no - not unless it is noted on the mission schedule. At 1:10 - do we have to leave the field? No - this slot is available to encourage everyone to take a breather and rehydrate. Are bases worth anything? : no - except in that you may disrupt & distract the enemy. Are there props worth "stealing": Maybe more faqs on event webpage http://www.triggertyme.com/event-200...aga-begins.htm

Quote:
Read your history about the Montegnards. Drac hit it right on. Technically the US Special Forces are initially in Vietnam to there to assist the Montegnards and South Vietnamese in fighting the communist, but later change roles to more to command the "Yards". Your role is to play a Montegnard village chief. Read up on the background info.

If we get 50 points every time the General goes with us to a mission, then what about the missions where there is more than one at one time. Does he have to go to each location, or just one? Allso do we get points when Ranger goes with us to a mission? One more thing, will we (the montegnards) be competing points wise with the Special forces? So at the end will the wining team be listed as special forces, montegnards, or the vc, or the montegnards/special forces be labeled as the winning team? Sorry if this sounds wiered, I might have to just ask in person.

I was wondering the same thing..also on the sniper count..5 per team right..so is that 5 for VC, 5 for US, and 5 for montegnards? or are the US and montegnards considered 1 team?

general lead: max of 50 points bonus per time slot.
ie, if 10:30 had three objectives, the maximum possible score for that time slot would be 100+100+100+50 Snipers: VC=5 US = 2 Montegnards=3 And drac - two answer your second question - Ive been chewing on this for a while, struggling to keep it simple - and tell me what yall think of this.. The Montegenards hate the VC, but at the beginning of the conflict they had no relationship or alliance w/ the US. As opertation switchback progressed, the US built the alliance w/ Montegnards though direct aid and military assistance with a common enemy, later to command the US direct action against the VC - including the trained Montegnards. For us to play this out in a scenario.. I was thinking around 20 US forces (BLUE), 100 VC(Red) and 80 Montegnards (Skins). (im sure the real numbers will differ) Only Blue or Red can score missions. There is no Montegnards "general" - only a loose militia and a village chief who likes his sake' When the US goes on a mission and the mission is scored for the US, the US mission CO on location is issused additional blue face tape by the ref on site (likely me) to signifiy the "training" and "alliance" with the montegnards that assisted with the mission. These montegnards and then put on the face tape and are then considered "trained" and can score missions on their own w/o US assistance. This should create confusion as he game starts. How exactly the US wins the hearts and minds of the Montegnards is up to ACE. You can rest assued the VC may have similar ideas. Oh, and only "trained" montegnards and US can fly in helicopters Oh, and only "trained" montegnards snipers and US snipers can score sniper points. The montegnards spawn at the Montegnard base and Tan Son Nhut The VC spawn at the LAOS base The US spawn at NhaTrang The US may also spawn at the Montegnard base w/ the village chief's permission and blessings. ie, a "Scenario" game..
