Rogue Cell Recruiting
Achtung!! Attention!! Atencion!!
ROGUE: Noun - A. a dishonest, knavish person; a scoundrel B. a playfully mischievous person; scamp C. a tramp or vagabond Adjective - no longer obedient, belonging, or accepted and hence not controllable or answerable; deviating, renegade --------------------------------------------------------------------- First, a quick history. Blindside (my second in command) and I have been playing paintball religiously for over a decade, me more so than him simply due to the age difference. I have played on several teams, the most recent being A-TAC, which I had a small part in helping to form. I would probably still be on the team if I had remained in the Triad, but my move to the Raleigh area kind of shot that one full of holes. Or paint, however you look at it. I have always wanted to form my own team and Blindside brought up a good point after I moved. We already play all over the state and we have made contact with many different players and torn up many different fields. What if we started a state-wide team, instead of the usual local team? I liked this idea, so we came up with the concept for Rogue Cell. Although I'm sure many have done this before us, it suited our needs rather well, so we decided to roll with it. Our main goal is this: to be able to field a team of experienced scenario players at most of the major events across North Carolina and the surrounding region. It's that simple. Instead of having a team that is based at a local field, we want a team of about 20 North Carolina scenario players that are willing to travel and hit the big scenario events across the region. When a team has a home field, they invariably have to spend most of their time helping with the administration of that field; whether it be building the field up, maintaining the facilities, referee every weekend, etc. The home team gains home field knowledge and advantage, not to mention some slight discounts on field prices, but they end up losing a lot of the freedom to be able to do as they will when it comes to playing. Field owners do sometimes end up putting pressure on the players to help out in exchange for those kickbacks. And rightly so. We want to avoid that. Instead, Rogue Cell wishes to be free to roam about the country dealing out multicolored death and destruction. We want to make a name for ourselves as a band of wandering cutthroats. As for team administration, here are a few of our strategies for success. Unlike most teams, we will not charge team dues. The only uniform requirements will be a specific camoflauge top and bottom, accompanied by a tactical vest of the players choice. The rest of the equipment is up to the player's needs and wants. By not charging team dues, we hope to free up the players' budget in order to attend various events and meeting the loose uniform requirement. Players will need to be able to travel on their own, without parental support and there will be some fair attendance requirements. We do want to make a solid showing at most events, after all. If the idea of our team intrigues you and you want some more information, please contact me. We will be happy to undergo interrogation and we look forward to answering your questions. Our website is Rogue Cell Paintball and our forums can be found at Rogue Cell Forums. Enjoy.
