Katrina Victims -- food drive @ Super 64 for Vets

I found out Sunday that a number of Huricane Katrina victims from a few VA hospitals are relocating to Blythewood, to be housed by the Cooperative Ministries. The staff, and the families of the VA hspital staff are relocating as well. The housing location is about 8 miles north of where TriggerTyme is.

What do you guys thing about donating the canned goods contributed at Super 64 to these vets of our armed services that were pushed out of their Hospital, and their caregivers?

If yall are game, Ill make the calls today.

pause the thought..

In digign a little further, I found out the Cooperative Ministries were already getting the food for the VA hospital vets from Harvest Hope, and all donations should go through them - so we can do both without changing anything!

Katrina Relief!

Brain and I have decided that 50% of all entry fees for our "Operation Market Garden" will go to the red cross (the other 50% is going to MPP) for Katrina relief. We need players at this event, and since Super 64 is a freebee, a little good will the week before would be very welcome. Check out the MPP site for details, but Brain and I will be doing our part.

On a similar note, the Super 64 event has actually hurt the pre-registrations for our MPP event. We definately don't mind supporting other fields in the area, but the Columbia game seems to be cutting into our ability to register OUR regulars for our game. If you can make it to Charleston on the 8th for a good fun game with lots of missions and props, please try to register. 50% of the registrations will be going to a very good cause...
