What happens if you shoot someone carrying a MASH unit? Or did you already say you can't shoot at them?

shoot 'um up.

They are eliminated. Mash units dont work while mobile or out of the shaded zones.

The map with the zones is pretty important to not messing up the missions. These MASH things could get out of hand (as many posters have commented). I want them to add to the fun & to the game, but safely and with minimal complications.

Ill review this doc at the safety briefing sat at 11:00am

I guess

You could technically use the MASH unit as a shield while it's in transport. Refs would just have to be vigilant about making sure players don't use it as a bunker. It's one thing to come under fire while running the MASH and use the barrel as cover. It's quite another to keep putting it down and firing from behind it over and over. I can't think of a simple rule to prevent this abuse, the refs will just have to use their judgment.

Why not just treat the MASH as "equipment" while the person is transporting it? And by transporting I mean until it hits the MASH zone. So no dropping it and stepping away to use it as cover.

Maybe that's a bit harsh, but it makes sure the unit is making its way to the location instead of a player farting around with the barrel.

Of course, the upshot of someone actually using it as cover by dropping it is that it's not making it to the LZ to be utilized.
