Exclamation Mobile Army Surgical Hospitals (M.A.S.H.)

greetings all.
I few of the staffers made up two new thingies I want to introduce to scenario paintball, and test at Super 64 - MASH units.

These are one red 55 gallon plastic drum with a red flag sticking up for the MOGs and another blue one for the rangers.

The idea is - as you insert from the compound, go to your base to check with your command chain and then go play. This helps provide order.

My initial thought is during certain times of the game to allow each General to place their MASH unit anywhere within 200 feet from their own base.

And then the eliminated player has a choice - return to the compound and wait on 5 players and then insert to their own base.

Or just go tag their own MASH unit, then hot insert right at the MASH unit. (this is real similar to the "tree of life" we use during recball at TriggerTyme)

The MASH units cant be blown, moved or taken by the enemy, but any enemy within 10 feet of the your MASH unit neutralizes it as long as it is occupied by enemy players, and the eliminated player must then use the alternate insertion method.

These obviously become very important logistical items.

OK, those are my initial ideas. Now I open the floor to your comments and suggestions. Please keep it simple!!!!!

No players eliminated, but the "invisible doctors" down inside the barrel quit working and the MASH unit quits working as a hot insertion point so long as the enemy player is within 10 feet.

I heard that the mogs have an auto insertan and the rangers are doing the five man thing...does this change it to where both have these barrels and the 5 man insertion? Allso if you go to the MASH unit to insert can a Helicopter pick you up there?

Couldn't the enemy just pick it up and take it virtually anywhere? Sounds fine, but what is some dope decides to put it in their base or next to their own MASH.

I would want a larger range, but we will see how things go! This sounds pretty cool. But i think the apparatus should be able to be moved to within a certain proximity of the opposing teams base. Or allow the mash units to be placed in strategic locations such as Olympic Motel or pizza hut.

I'm with Drew on this one(wait did I just say that? JUST KIDDING!). You should be able to move it to any where as long as its no closer that say 500 feet from the other base. BUT you have to move it.
