Robbie heard yesterday about a team planning on selling whitebox at Super 64 to the other players there, and last week about a field running a firesale on leftover paint to equip super 64 attendees. I cant tell you how much rumors like this work AGAINST the efforts of those putting on this event - myself included and againt the spirit of the event in general.
The reason for doing a FREE/BYOP event is to introduce new players into the sport of scenario ball GROWING the sport in the area, and as a player appreciation day. I hope you all understand the spirit of this event, and Im sure we will all have a great time. Bringing your own paint is fine. Anyone wanting to sell paint or other products at Super 64 should check with Robbie. Im sure we can work something out. We havent had anyone ask to rent booth space to sell product, but Im sure we can work something. Typically booth space rental for a 10x10 starts at $500 for non-competing products - more for directly competing products (like paint) and for larger spaces. Bootlegging product on site I believe is a crime. For you veteran players out there buying paint for this event, please buy what we have for sale at the show. XBall Silver @ $45/cs or Circuit@35/cs -- these are very good prices on some very good paint. We will have 550 cases on hand and 330 in reserve. If anyone know of event bootleggers, please bring it to my attention. Thank you for your time, Thumper.
