Press Release

Super 64 - The Battle Continues - Oct 15th, 2005
24 hour scenario paintball game

In the first ever $0 entry, BYOP event at TriggerTyme Paintball in Columbia, SC the numbers of teams who made reservations maxed out before preregistration opened. The current number stands at 508 players from 36 scenario teams and any additional teams wanting in has to get on a waiting list.

To give back to the community, the producers asked the teams to bring one can of food to donate to Harvest Hope food bank - and the generosity of the players mixed with a little competitive spirit, and a players challenge went out - started by veteran scenario team "Splinter Cell" out of Greenville SC. And the challenge has been capped at 24 cans per player. How many cans are collected is yet to be seen, but you have to love the hearts of these players.

This particular battle is the second game in a series of three that began last April with "Super 61 - The Battle of Mogadishu" and will be followed up with
"The Day of the Rangers" in the future. In the first battle, Super 61 went down and the two armies fought to secure Cliff Wilcotts body. In Super 64 - Cliff may make a return, but the smart money is on the quest for Mike Durant who goes down in Super 66.

If you watch the movie, Black Hawk Down, you are left hanging at the end with Delta operator "Hoot" going back into the city to look for Mike Durant, and in the interest of fun we are gonna play this one out on 84 acre Battlefield at TriggerTyme Paintball.
