Exclamation Prisoners?

Hey Thumper,

What do you think about "Prisoners" in super64.

The ranger(s) or mog(s) could give up in a hopeless fire fight and be taken to a roped off position at the bases?

What do you think?

That would be really cool! Maybe have points for capture or rescue.

I vote no. I dont like the vibe of that kind of thing.

If the prisoner was like a character that the other team had to catch that would be oen thing. But as far as holding people for any amount of time... wouldnt be much fun for the prisoners would it

sounds fun, but i know some people don't want other players with radios that close to the base...

i would think a mission where we have to take some prisioners, and we have to use a grenade to mark them "injured" or something. If there was a specific color that Thumper or someone could find the grenade just for that type of mission that would be fun.

prisoners..

there were more than a few down pilots in the battle of mogadishu. The rangers will try to secure, protect and exfiltrate their wounded, and the mogs? well capturing and interogating the wounded is a good way to get information.

didnt you guys play super 61?

im really suprised the number of people who either dont know the storyline, or only know bits and pieces of it. Here's a quick rundown.

1993, Somilia. US Special Forces and Rangers are on a mission to secure and capture a head terrorist, Mohamed Farrah Aidid. The SF guys went in first and everything was rutine and going according to plan. In the immediate area there were 17 helicopters all with the code name Super 60-77 with 40 Delta Force (SF guys) and 70 Rangers. To back them up there was a convoy of 12 armored trucks and tanks and such 3 miles away at the Ranger Base (the Soccer Stadium). Now, on the way out of the city (i believe they either killed or captured Aidid) 2 of the birds were shot down by RPG's. Super 63 and Super 64, out of the crash only 3 or so survived and 2 happened to be SF snipers, and for the life of me i cant remember their namen :icon16: Thse men could have been saved early becaues of the 12 armored vehicles right? Wrong, the entier force was gone, or was on the ground trying to rescue the snipers and almost all radio contact was lost. Well, anyway. We picked up the story after the crash of Super 63 in the last scenario trying to rescue the downed sniper and i do believe the rangers won, correct me if im wrong. And in 7 days we will try to retake the city of Mogidishu and get our boys back .

Here is a site that has the book online if you care to read it; http://inquirer.philly.com/packages/.../default16.asp

Mike Durant was the pilot of Super 64 when it went down. Shughart and Gordon were the two Delta sniper, right? Correct me if I am wrong.
