Thanks to all the players, teams, sponsors and staffers

Anyone tired? feet hurt? Anyone clean out the fridge lately?

Man on man, what a blast! Im sorry If I lacked the appropriate enthuasisn during closing ceremonies, but now that the body pains are easing up some and the carbs are back to normal levels, and a few hours sleep, I want to say T H A N K S to everyone who pumped that $3 gas, cleared TT's woods for camp sites, organized their buddies, and made the endless plans and preparations (none of which seem to last very long, do they?).

And to the players for some stand up, very hard playing.

To the refs, Im impressed - (especially with Mylan). I know we were short handed, and everyone handed too much to deal with, but you all rose to the occassion, and beyond. What the casual observer may not know is TT isnt not a long narrow field like waynes world or have a fairly open field in the middle (choke point) like Billy's - we have a fairly square shaped field - and with 550 players kicking it, and 82 acres it all came into play with major battles all over the place. The whole field was a hot spot, all the time. Obviously this means the refs cant "gang ref" one area making things pretty easy to control.

The Tower, Ft Apache (Wadigley), No Mans Land (CW), The Cross Roads, the main road, Antietam hill, the POW camp, both bases, bunker hill (north of the ranger base), that little dirt mound just north of No Mans, Shantie Town, LZ14, all stayed hot most of the time.

Hats off to the refs and staffers. Job very well done. BTW: the true unsung heros of this effort have to be Mike Curtis and Del for doing their absolute best to keep the refs everywhere at once. Job very well done. This could not have happened without you.

And to the player refs. I know we had an issue to two that could cloud the idea of using player refs, but given the nature of this game and 550 players "an issue or two" is unavoidable. We had around 10 player refs this game. In the future Im planning on adding a few more. These players dramatically help the game play safer. Ill probably add a special color armband tape or similar to help them stand out better.

And to the sponsors - I failed to mention PBJunkie (Rich) for letting us wear out his forum, and the pics, and the vids and all that jazz. PBJunkie is THE place for scenario ballers to network and coordinate. Thank you sir. I think you have more that a few loyal posters here

Chipley - The 2K Sniper II pump kit was certainly the most sought after / talked about prop drop. We had around 50 pump players out of the 550. Of those 40 were shooting snipers and the rest phantoms - and all were after your pump kit. Keep up the good work. Given how the Sniper IIs are doign around here, I see the demand for your WGP aftermarket products on the rise here in SC.

RAP4 : Both vests were found as prop drops, and every one is impressed with quality and pricing (i.e. value) of your product. Thank you very much for your contribution.

Qloader : 5 came it, 4 went out as prop drops, and 1 as a raffle item. All winners just a grinnin' - Thank you very much.

Southern Pig: Thanks Mrs. Virginia - your 'Q rocks.

National: Greg, thanks for the bootie. Good stuff we raffled away...
Oh, and I didnt hear a single complaint the whole event about either paint.

Players who won something: Please contact these sponsors and thank them personally.

Thank you all.

(((SIDE NOTE : I did hear quite a few complaints about some walk on paint - with that orange florescent fill gooie stuff getting my Special Attention (It aint coming back on this field, ever) - Some one please PM me brand names. That stuff is so unwipeable it makes refs check players old marks taking them away from where thay are needed. By consequence, the orange florecent fill goo balls endangers scenario players in general. They are up there with Red Fill paint in my book.)))

YES I hated that orange paint. I had some of that orange goo on my leg, and whene a ball bounced off of that same leg at one point a ref called me out of the old hit. I tryed to explain it was on old hit, but since I reacted so quickly to the bounce he thought it was real and told me just to go on out. I have to say I still love that Circut though, I think the orange stuff was sold at the field, to many people had it for not to be.

no the orange paint was actually two brands. as i was leaving early sun. morning i saw 1 camp site loading there pods and it was ultra evil orange . they had about 3-4 peeps. the other was zap chronic and i saw about 15 plus cases stacked in the staging area sat. and the zap comes out like almost a paste. so thump your mystery paint is EVIL and CHRONIC..
