this is just me, but i think your first step should be getting a left front wheel, go-carts go faster when they have 4 wheels

Max, there is a go cart racing track here in decatur. They have races once a month (i THINK), BUT i KNOW THEY HAVE THEM ON SOME SORT OF REGULAR basis. It is on State Docks Road. The guy is pretty nice, he should be able to help, ond/or direct you to some who can.

I agree. I think at least for the bottom, some sort of lite weight hard material. I would just screen where you are going to shoot from.

I race go-karts, and knowing what i know about engines/power ill give my small amount of advice.

as far as the dead axel goes, it really isnt a hard fix for someone who knows what hes doing. the power problem is an easy fix, you may need to find a cheap racing clutch (about $100) because they have burst power, and not more power at higher speeds and simply gear it right. think of a bicycle, when you have a small gear on the clutch, and a big gear on the axel, you have more power and acceleration, but less top speed. i would recommend doing this because as a tank, you can't go that fast anyways. take your kart to someone who knows what he is doing as far as the axel goes and you should get a live axel. keep in mind this might cost a pretty penny, but if youre willing to pay up it could be a great project.

lmk if you have any questions

Sounds like your getting some good advice Max, keep in mind the kart track here in Decatur, that is where you should be able to get some parts. There's probably something in Huntsville too. I have a riding lawn mower that could be converted, but I'm not spending the money now. I always thought a fog machine on a tank would be cool. and a big speaker with some sic music or some psycho saying stuff. you know, like .....rape, kill, pillage, burn, eat babies stuff like that.
Another option, would be to NOT make it a high profile. Think of it as a battle bot. It would be harder for laws to get you. As a tank killer, I like the high profile ones.(sorry tankers) Tanks are a very, very cool part of scenarios. I would like to see more. Tankers are a special group of people that are both nice and friendly. I would like to see you join their ranks. Besides, how many kids can say, Hey I owned a tank before I got my first car! I'll help you, just call and if I'm free, I'll help I can weld and I am a licensed gas fitter. You know I don't live to far away either.
