The laws card is used by field owners and promoters for several reasons.
One to limit the number of laws players on the field. If one tank shows up and the opposers bring 10 laws the extra cost and effort of bringing the tank is nil. The tank guy will probably not come back. So the promoter will balance the game play between teams with these cards just as he controls the number of medics and engineers. Would you want to play a team that has 40 medics? Where one team has one tank and the other team 4 or 5 the play can be balanced by issuing more laws cards to the one tank side. The goal here is exciting, balanced play for both sides. This is something Ben excels at. Two is to ensure the safety of the players. Not all laws are safe. Some homebrew systems are accidents waiting to happen. On some fields all laws have to undergo a safety inspection by field staff before use and getting a laws card. Without it you should not have a laws on the field. Some areas of the country have begun to require pressure relief valves along with other standards to please insurance companies and ensure safety for all. Particularily for massive games. We absolutely must be safe for the kids and players on the fields with our non-marker toys. Safety is king. Same type of thing for my tanks. A number of times I could push an advantage on the field but hold up to remain within the rules designed to provide safe play. As a driver my mindset has to be safety first, safety second, and safety third. Fun gets all the other numbers. When I get eliminated by a laws guy who has worked hard to get me it's a consolation prize of sorts to see the excitement on his side as I leave the field. Just remember to give a wave and a thumbs up to the driver after you've bagged the big prize for your side. http://www.blackhearts.net http://smartcorps.smartparts.com http://www.nexosports.com |

Mr. W is very correct. As a field owner I don't want a bunch of homemade hazards on the field. Hopefully though you will get a card, if you do you will have to work your butt off to get a kill. Tankers worry more about anti-tankers than opposing tanks. Just remember all hits count
Nerf rounds have to hit a target without bouncing off the ground first!!\
