guys, help me out here. what would you recommend as far as strippin this thing down? i mean should we just bust it all the way down to the frame? or leave a basic skeleton? think family minivan transformed to this:



of course it wont be as tall due to the tires, but we want this general design with a few mods you can reffer to in my design. all you mechs and tank builders feel free to help us out as this is our first "real" tank.

I'd strip it down to the frame and the floorpan, then you can still use the stock seats for a comfy ride.

One of Bravo 2-0's guys did the Bradley out of a minivan. They stripped it down to the frame, then cut the top off to lower the profile, then widened the body... They did a lot.

But if your gonna do it, strip it all off. Should make it a bit easier to have a clean slate.

Here is a write up Priest did on his Bradley. There are some construction shots in there. Since you are using the same type of base vehicle, maybe they'll help you some... Hopefully.

we have begun the transformation.









in addition, we have also removed the: back hatch, hood, back bumper and windshield.

we will be the envy of all disgruntled soccor moms!

we just started doing the frame and have the top and windshield area framed out. just startin to see the real final image is killer. this thing is gonna rock!!!

we'll be "droppin off the kids" all day long come sept. ill have some pics real soon. it will come out just like that blue one up top but have guns out of the turret. we had to sacrifice the front passenger anti personel turret due to positioning the main turret closer to the front to make room to put extra seating in the troop bay, but we are gonna mount one in the windshield area like the one on the a.p.c. they had in the movie aliens. except this one can aim up into the windows.
