we just got it. got the brakes fixed and got it a tune up and all the glass out. runs great. even has great a/c!!!! it will be at b.c. in oct!

the plywood shell and turret layouts. it will have a t.o.c. behind the driver, like a mobile cp for me to deal with my footsoldiers and handle commo. have a good power supply with 110 outlets for laptop and accessories. will have 2 small benches on each side of the back like an a.p.c. both turrets will rotate full 360. gonna just use a mks launcher with a long pvc extension for the main cannon. more of an apc/anti personel vehicle than a tank. LOTS of anti personel on this one. its a foot soldiers nightmare come true.

-specs-

armor:

plywood.
reinforced framing.

cockpit:

stand alone cockpit for driver.
(on the driver side in this picture, the main body will continue at the 45 degree angle into the roof. only the passenger side will be "boxed" off with a "lighthouse" effect, like in the pic. gives shotgun rider more room to move around and store gear for anti personel turret. make sense?) plus it looks cool and is an actual apc design i liked.

driver and turret operator will have access to p.a. system. (for verbal propaghanda and troop commo.)

the viewing ports on the cockpit will be large so we can see to drive well. however, i want to make them "open/closable" like a real apc. i.e. we roll onto the orfor base and start gettin hammered with paint and its misting the driver and cockpit through the netting, close the armor plates on the openings. (this thing will have a "lockdown" mode.)

expanded housing for "shotgun". (explained above.) anti personel rotating turret w/ opening hatch. (passenger can ride exposed until we make contact like a real tank, by standing in the seat.) the turret itself will be small. just tall enough to stick your head in and shoot the marker, so the main turret can pass over it.) 1 anti personel marker w/ permanent pvc barrel extension for realism. (just stick your markers barrel into the pvc extension and fire.)

outer shell will have "flood" style lighting. will have removable engine panel. will have tow bar (for looks, maybe make it real. ?)

entry/exit:

side entry door.
rear "drop" hatch for troop deployment.
ladder access to cockpit hatch.

main turret:

rotating main turret w/ view ports.
main cannon. (i will buy a mks constant air breach loaded launcher. we will just make a permanent pvc main cannon extension.)
2 anti personel markers w/ barrel extensions.
radar (small dish) affixed atop turret for realism.

gun ports:

2 per side cargo bay gun ports w/ open/close armor plates like the cockpit.

mobile command center:

located behind cockpit.
have captains seat.
map "wall" for hanging logistics.
have admin "desk". (small work station and shelf.)
power plant for accessories and laptop w/ 110 outlets.
parascopic wireless webcam. (can raise and lower webcam and rotate 360 for a complete surveilance of field for terrain/threat assesment. will be linked to laptop in mobile command. cna aslo take pictures for intel or personel use.)

cargo/personel bay:

2 small benches on each side of cargo/personel area to accomodate troop seating. should hold 3 on each side.
gear racks on wall for storing main and secondary turret supplies and troop equipment.
storage for 2 scubas on each side for personel rapid refill and turret air. (team can refill air in the field. no more hike to stand in line.)
paint storage area to resupply troops in the field. (the team can reload out of the apc. no more hike back to camp.)

ammenities:

h/a
a/c (hell yeah!)
would like to have us a cheap cd player for aggressive music. (boosts morale and will to fight.)
cockpit console for driver/passenger accessories.
outside i would like a gear box for tools. (tank style utility box. can even hold more paint or troop supplies so we dont have to open the apc in the field.)
also a gear rack. (m1a1 abrahms style)
