Alright guys!!!! After almost 8 hours of play today at triggertyme with my New A-5 RT w/flatline, I am (not discouraged at all) but very dissapointed with the performance! Set-up: rt....remote....flatline!!!! You would think no prob...."If and when" a ball came out it was so un-accurate, that i looked like a fool in some situation for even shooting back....but most of the time the balls were just coming out in peices.......(note: I was chronoed at around 220-240 MAX) So discouraged I removed the flatline and replaced the stock barrel and then put the bottle on the gun!!!!! chop chop ...no accuracy ....lucky to hit a target the size of a nice size vehicle!!!! I know this sounds like i could be exagerating maybe a little but this is how it was!!! ALL OF MY KILLS came from super close range and barrel tags since anything other was a waste of time! Im not the flag man and im normally on a scale of one to ten about a 6 in aggresivness and today I did more hands on then ever...........I would like to think someone has had these problems and that they can be fixed, I know that the a-5 is an extremely popular gun and has great reviews, but after today all I could think about was how bad I wish I had bought a ion or shocker or somthing, the guys with nice tourney guns where shooting extremely fast and unbelievalbly accurate!!!!!!!!!!!!!please help, and thanks

JUST A NOTE....concerning the tombstone and your recent many disassemblies, did the o-ring and washer in the power tube ever come out while the tombstone was removed? The o-ring shound be on top of the washer..it'll still work the other way is why I bring it up, but it just works weird...and since it seems like you've tried everthing esle, might as well take a quick look at that too because I've seen it happen
GOOD LUCK, and keep us posted |

Yeah, I'd definitely check to make sure the O-ring and washer are in place. I find that a wooden toothpick makes a pretty good tool to remove/replace that O-ring. A flathead jeweler's screwdriver is also an option, but it's more likely to damage the O-ring. Consult the schematic I posted earlier if need be.

ummmm......i have never dissasembled this gun....ive only had it a few days.......the only assembly was the after market stock and flatline barrel, and I messed around with the cyclone feed but it seems to be in place right!!!!!! When my tank is half way empty the cyclone feed stops spinning also....this problem seems to have atleast became less often after adding oil to the spring in the feed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first thing you should do when you get a new marker is to read the manual, then break down the marker, clean it and oil it (with an appropriate paintball gun oil NOT something like wd40, which will eat the O-rings).
Many markers sit on shelves or in boxes for extending periods of time and often there are either not climate controlled or loosely controlled. Additionally, many manufactured goods ship with lubricants designed to prevent corrosion, not to act as good lubricants. Break down the marker, clean it, oil it, and then try it out.

damn i wish you told me when you were playing you couldnt get the velocity up, i had spare springs that you could have tried out. I had the same problem with velocity with my a5 with a flatline, I got a spring kit and just started switching them out till one of them got good velocity, the other thing to do is put a spacer in the back to make the spring have more tension.
feel free to add me to msn messenger :ljlagnese@hotmail.com and when you have time to break it down we can get more detailed by a little bit more direct communication on the paint chopping were you using whatever the black case was they were selling that day or something else? I always buy at least one step up from the bottom at fields when using my flatline due to it being a little bit picky about paint. I prefer proball or marbalizer, not that i know if proball is even around anymore |
