...Then one of these may be your problem!
Cyclone glitches, and how to fix them 1; Cyclone will not feed paint. Cause; Cyclone is not getting enough air flow, or the cyclone ratchet is busted. Note: It only takes a minor crack or break in the ratchet to render the Cyclone useless. Solution 1; Make sure that the banjo fittings are lined up correctly for maximum air flow. Also make sure that there are no tears, holes, or clogs in the line. Your velocity may also be too low. Try chronoing your marker. Solution 2; Call Tippmann (1-800-533-4831) for a free ratchet replacement or purchase a JetClick (link; A5) or a Vortex (TechT Paintball A5 Vortex Mod) which are both different types of metal ratchet replacements. I use the JetClick, and I have put around 8000rds or so through it, and it is still doing good. Note; Thick Lube is extremely important when using a metal ratchet replacement. Something like shocker lube will work well, but most people use white lithium grease, which is available in most hardware stores. 2; Cyclone is skipping Cause; paint is running low, causing the "Popcorn effect"; ratchet is cracked or broken; Marker is firing to fast, thus maxing out the Cyclone; Solution 1; Put more paint in hopper, or fire slower. Try not to let the hopper completely empty itself; Use your pods a little earlier than you normally would Solution 2; Replace ratchet (See problem 1 Solution 2) Solution 3; Slow firing, or adjust Egrip ROF down; modify Cyclone to fire faster, via QEV (kits available from Clippard or Palmers), QEPH (by TechT) and upgraded Ratchet (JetClick or Vortex) 3; Paint is breaking inside Cyclone Cause; Paint being used is warped; Cyclone paddles have sharp edges on them; Tooth sticking out from the side of the right reciever half has sharp edges on it; Screws that are holding the bottom plate onto the Cyclone are too long, and are sticking up through the inside of the cyclone feeder; Solution 1; change to better paint ![]() Solution 2; Take out the Cyclone paddles and sand all the edges down with a piece of 1000grit sandpaper until smooth Solution 3; Take the Cyclone off of the A5 and sand (1000grit sandpaper) the edges off of the top, bottom, and front of the tooth sticking out of the right reciever halve until smooth. Solution 4; Remove the screws from the bottom of the Cyclone. Take a file and file down the tips of all 4 screws. Remember; Only take the tips off! There you have it. If you have any further Tech problems or questions, or would like me to add something, please PM me, and I will do what I can. -Prophet
