That's all there is to it! BTW, if you're not used to disassembling a Cyclone feed or are not mechanically inclined, get it professionally installed or ask someone you know who is familiar. If not, you can mess it up.

And you can save a few bucks by venting your piston housing yourself with a drill press.

It depends. The idea of having the softer paddles is to preven paint breakage in the cyclone feeder. Are you really having problems with paint chopping in the cyclone? If so, there are a few things that you can do to prevent that. First, the screws in the bottom of the cyclone should be taken out, and the sharp points on the end ground down. These tend to stick up inside the cyclone and grab paint. Another thing you can do is take the star feeders out and sand down the sharp edges on the tips and bottoms. Also, try removing the cyclone and sanding down the tooth that sticks out from the right reciever. They also tend to be a bit sharp straight from the factory.

I was having paint breaking in the cyclone and just did these few easy mods, and now, around 6000rds later, no breaks since.

PBJ'er, both ways!

accually, ive had the vortex mod, lightning bolt, and the qeph, and there wasnt enough diffrence to warrant spending any of the money on it, you can buy that x7 cyclone for cheaper then you can buy just 2 of those parts, (also you can email tippmann and they will send you the parts that break for free if your tight on cash)
