Finding an X-7 Cyclone feed for A-5

Does anyone know where I can find just the cyclone feed and hopper from an X-7. I was looking to upgrade my A-5 cyclone feed but someone told me that those same upgrades are already in the X-7 hopper at half the price and it bolts right up to the A-5 (if anyone has a differing opinion about that I'd like to know)

So far the only place I have been able to find it is E-Bay and I'd like to stay away from that if possible. Would a local shop have it since I have to stop by there Friday for paint anyway or does anyone know of any online retailers that carry it.

Thanks for the help.

techtpaintball.com for modding the a-5 loader.. the thing to remember with the x-7 is that the rachet is still plastic. another site is tippmannparts.com

I checked out the site that Driggs referred and it has exactly what he says. You veteran Tippys probably know it as old hat. Tank has an excellent point. Of all the repairs/mods we do to Cyclones, the ratchet busting is the biggest. The biggest and the most effective UPGRADE mod we do is either the TechT ratchet or the JCS Jet Click ratchet upgrades. After that, the TechT Lightening Rod plunger and either TechT or JCS housing. Or if you want to get creative and you're good on a drill press, you can drill the tube yourself. Make sure you ream all the trash from the inside of the tube...

cyclone feed system on both is the same. the only difference is the hoppers which you should be able to find individually. if you cant find them online i know for a fact the Paintball Charleston store has them.

Ok I see. So is there any benefit to getting the X-7 cyclone feed if I'm just going to be eventually getting all the Tech T upgrades or is the hopper and the casing the only thing that will be left after I swap everything. Basically if I'm already planning on getting the Vortex mod, and the lightning rod is there any point in getting the X-7 cyclone feed or just keeping what I have for now and picking up the hopper somewhere?

Oh and thanks for the help guys.

Exactly... If you're getting the Vortex, the Lightening Rod and the vented housing then it's a waste of $$$ to bother. With those upgrades, the remaining components are identical. All you need do is pick up an X-7 low profile hopper and you're good to go.

And you can save a few bucks by venting your piston housing yourself with a drill press.

Ya I thought about that but I don't have a drill press and I don't think I'd want to risk breaking it anyway. Is there anything else out there besides those 3 parts from tech t to upgrade the cyclone feed?

Thanks for the words of wisdom.
