Help please!

I'm thinking about getting a red dot sight for my Tippmann 98. I would like for ya'll to tell me if the sight affects where the paintball hits(like if it stays the same like there not being a sight there)and what ya'll think about red dot sights and me getting one. Also it would be nice if someone could please tell me where to find one that fits a dovetail sight(the sights on a Tippmann 98).Thanks ya'll!

The sight does not affect the shooting, but the ball hardly ever hits where the dot is, Wal-mart (same dovetail as a .22 rifle). Had one took it off, IMO waste of money and weight.

For sale: nice adjustable intensity Red Dot. fits 3/8' weaver sight rails(2nd rail on a tippmann) w/ the "click" wheels to get it set dead on. couple scratches on lens caps.(water got in there and i had to use a pipe wrench to get it open and dry it out. but no worries its loctited back up)
these babies regularly got for 50 from gun shops and i think walmart has a similar 1. Its urs shipped to u door for 20 bucks.
i origionally got it for my phantom and i could put my paint right on the spot w/ my boomstick also. but now my phantom is Pnue-assist so i have no need for accuracy lol.
heres so pics:

Some people love them, I personally don't. Try cheaper than dirt (cheaperthandirt.com) they have a really inexpensive HUD type sight for like 8 bucks, I had one and tried it, it was not to bad. Another thing to consider is alot of these dot sights are hard to see in bright sun light. The one that PBCsniper has is alot like what most people I know that use sights use.

you really don't need a scope for a paintball gun.
point and shoot...

having a sight on your marker (and zeroed in) helps very much in the first shot.

Paintballs are in themselves inaccurate but the dot sight, in my opinion, helps very much in aiming.
