New X7 e-Grip from Tippmann

BUFFALO GROVE, IL - Tippmann Sports, a leading manufacturer of high-performance paintball markers and related accessories, is proud to unveil a new electronic grip specifically designed for the company's recently launched X7 marker. The X7™ e-Grip™ incorporates a unique, magnetically activated Hall-Effect Trigger that can fire as many as 20 balls-per-second. For players looking for even more speed the e-Grip can be programmed up to 30 bps. The e-Grip features an External Selector Switch with three positions, making it easy to quickly change firing modes while on the fly. Using the X7 e-Grip, players will be able to select between three different modes - safe (S), fire (F) and special firing (FA) - with just the flip of a switch. In all, five special firing modes will be offered, one of which can be assigned to the FA position on the external switch. The special modes to be available include semi automatic, turbo, three-shot burst, automatic response and full safety automatic.

As an added benefit, the innovative design of the X7 e-Grip integrates fewer moving parts, which significantly improves reliability. Plus, because it does not utilize a push-button momentary switch like most other electronic grips, Tippmann's new system is not susceptible to failure in rain, snow, mud and other extreme weather conditions.

"With the introduction of our new X7 e-Grip, the most advanced and highly customizable marker ever manufactured just continues to improve," said Denny Tippmann, Jr., Senior Vice President of Product Development for Tippmann Sports. "Now players can easily add next-generation electronics to their X7 to achieve a whole new level of speed and on-the-go performance. In many respects, the new grip will be a 'must have' addition to the X7 for any serious woodsball and scenario player."

Tippmann's X7 e-Grip, which will be available as an accessory as well as a built-in component, also features an internal mode system, which players can set to semi-automatic to meet the regulations of most organized field events. In addition, the grip can be assembled quickly and offers an easy-access external compartment so its battery can be switched out without tools and without having to remove parts. A standard, two-hole Air System Adapter (ASA) also makes it easy for players to add a drop-forward.

Players will be able to demo the new X7 e-Grip at select scenario events this summer, including D-Day in Oklahoma, Global Conquest in Michigan and the Skirmish D-Day in Pennsylvania. The product is expected to be available in late July at select paintball dealers nationwide and will carry a suggested retail price of $149. For additional details, please call Tippmann Sports at 1-800-533-4831 or visit the company online at Tippmann.

For more than 20 years, Tippmann Sports has been dedicated to quality manufacturing and the pursuit of cutting-edge technology and design. The company serves the growing paintball and airsoft industries from its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Tippmann Sports' complete line of paintball markers and related accessories can be found at paintball stores and fields as well as mass retail and sporting goods outlets throughout the world.

Found out yesterday afternoon that it looks like there's an excellent chance we will be one of the "select paintball dealers" to get ""some" of these in July. Yippee-Ky-Yay! This up will bring this marker out of it's perceived shell... Thank goodness a certain name WASn't mentioned in the product...
