It's not just about high pressure on a tippman. They make a spring kit for them. What you have to do is when you hook the nitro tank up you need to change the springs. When you start putting the different springs in, you'll see the difference in velocity. Once you match the right spring up with the gun plus the nitro you will see a whole new ball game. I didn't know anything about this until I talked to a guy that was running a booth at PBC at their last scenario.

Yea i sat here in my living room one night and counted. I have actually done it a couple of times. I get anywhere from 650 - 700 shots with my tippmann custom 98 with a 45/4500 high pressure....

3000psi, 68 ci tank.
Most likely you have a high pressure tank, meaning the reg is set to output around 850 psi.
A low pressure tank would be set to put out 450 psi. Most of the Low pressure tanks are fairly new, and are mostly 4500 psi tanks.

I also noticed the same thing on my cousins 98. He was using his HPA tank and it was HP. the best we could chrono was around 240 or so. So there is a spring to fix this? can you get it from tippmann? Or is it aftermarket?

That is weird cause i dont have that problem on my 98. In fact I got chronoed in Charleston on the field after I had just chronoed at the staging area and it was shooting 287 when i had just chronoed it to 278.....
