His loader turns into a paint churn, he has upgraded with X7 parts, but it is still giving him problems.

i assume your talking about the cyclone. one thing in your favor here is that it is actually spinning, even if it has become a blender. here are a few issues that could be doing this.

1. make sure the "banjo fitting" and hose are in proper working order. this is the barbed fitting and hose feeding the cyclone. this is the cyclones air source.

2. use a sturdy paint. thin cheap brittle stuff will break. those paddles inside really whirl around and smack the paint. there was a issue with the x7 when they first came out about the cyclone paddles chopping paint. they were made of a hard plastic and just really macheted a paintball upon contact. they later came out with soft paddles to remedy this problem. brittle paint = blender.

3. align the paddles with the feed hole. there are 3 rows of paddles. make sure they are all ligned up straight with each other. then place one column dead center of the feed hole. this is how i run my a5 and x7. works great.

when all else fails, send the gun to tippmann. they are well known for their exemplary customer service. they often send players free replacement parts and will fix a marker, warranty or not, for free. alot of people are hesitant to call manufacturers because their gun is either out of warranty or they dont have the money to fix it. not so with tippmann. they also have a 24 hr. turnaround. 1-800-533-4831

Why, Silverback you have gotten better looking for Christmas. LOL

Silverback, you know my A5 with the X7 cyclone has been doing the same thing on my guns. I took both of them all the way back to shock exept the X7Cyclone and still have problems with blending. Then I got my completely shock A5 with stock cyclone and was still blending paint. It's the balls. I've tried two or three different and still had the problem. The Paint was ProCaps and some other brand. I've never had problems before, but they most have had a bad batch or something. Being winter time we might be experiencing a cross over problem with summer balls still being used now.

my a5 cyclone is all stock. the only time its ever chopped, is when ive used brittle paint or had the paddles out of sync.

Where exactly is it breaking the paint? Is it inside the Cyclone feed? If so, then the paddles could be your source. But if it's breaking them in the breech, a piece of slag or a rough spot in the receiver could be the source, as well as the bolt. Make sure the bolt is smooth at the front. Also, make sure the connecting rod that goes back to the hammer is unencumbered. Sometimes the rod will not go all the way into the bolt and it will not ride properly on the power tube. If that happens, it will blow paint in the breech and barrel. Lastly, look at the barrel adapter and make sure it's in round and free of burrs. Same goes for your barrel.

The paint I've been using has been break in the breech and blowning back into the cyclone feed. It lead me to believe for the longest time it was the cyclone systems. I've had ball breaks in four A5s. Two modded, two stock. Great advise on the breech.
