He is not planing on letting either of those guns go as far he has told me. He likes his pump thats really all they had when he played. ( way back when computers were as big as houses. heh ) So he likes his pump but he is also very competative and wants a gun to keep up with others in the heat of battle. He already has plans for responce trigger. And as far as trying out an A-5 well no fields around here have any for lone. ( only have 2 fields ) No body plays that much in my area. I play on family owned wooded land and hay fields. Cousin has the 98 though that I plain on trying out.
Are you saying if he goes A-5 flat barrel maybe then right from the start?

I dont know anyone to let me and friend try out an A-5. I we be trying a 98 though this weekend. If the a-5 is worth the extra money I'll tell my friend to wait and save money and just play with his older guns right now. ( tippmann sl68 pump and pmi 3 ).
yes the a-5 is worth the money

Arrow Flatline ???????

hey would a flatline work better then a Dye 14" Boomstick?
cause i heard alot of good words about the flatline but i can't find to much info on bore sizes, good paint for it, etc....

and would it be good in this setup: A-5, double trigger, Chipley Inline reg, Nitro?

thx

14" Titanium Dye Boomstick
14" Empire Twister Barrel

Well I guess it kinda depends if you want accuracy or distance. My friend bought an A-5 recently stock gun with flatline and car stock, Co2. I played a woodsball game with it and I liked it for the most part just for the distance. I was able to shoot from a distance were no one elses gun would reach but the flatline would. But now accuracy was not as good as I had hoped. I did not do an type of really good test but I used to using my imagine with 14inch J&J S2. And the J&J is really not that accurate but pretty good for the amount I was willing to spend. We were shooting marbalizer. At a range of about 100ft I was able to hold a pattern of about 3ft wide circle. Witch did the trick concidering I was only trying to keep the other team from moving.

My opinion its worth getting and having in your bag of tricks. The flat trajectory comes in handy if you want to reach out and touch someone.

I am considering buying the apex and the hammerhead. The apex has had some great reviews. It is supposed to have the abilities of the flatline with better accuracy and you can shoot around bunkers. The hammerhead I have already used and immediatly fell in love with, unmatched in accuracy in my opinion.I just got a stock 98 custom and will be getting one or both barrels along with the rt trigger

Bore size I'n not sure about. Or the best paint for it. I know the marbalizer shot very well through it. Heck of alot better than zap heh. I guess I could messure it next time we play??
