I need a dry day here in PA so i can get out and put a couple cases through it to see how its working again. Now that I know that Flatlines are loud I can focus more on the guns performance not sound. I'll post my results, hopefully good. Thanks guys

i think it is the grip as well. maybe it is allowin 2 much c02 to leave the gun at one time. if i were u id get a stock grip and a regulator. plus its probably ur imagination that it is loud. did ur friend say it was loud??? have u checked the hose????

Look inside your cyclone as you fire, and listen carefully.
If it souds like a dual or triplr "Blah-dat", and the cyclone only looks to cyle once, then you have a sear and bolt problem. Since you say it is new, look into the trigger housing and see if the trigger and sear springs are reversed. you want a stiff/strong sear spring and the lighter one on the trigger. also look very. very. very closely at the top rear edge of your sear and the edge of the step on the bottom of your bolt. any, and I mean even the slightest, wear on either of these points and the engage will miss the first, second, third...time the bolt cycles until it finally latches. (Believe me when it gets really bad it sound like a really scary machine gun, but no balls cycle into the breach unfortunately) FYI: tippman has redesigned the bolt for its (*Cs, and probably will be coming out with a new version for the A-5. also, point-of-information, Tippman will warranty replacement parts to you, if you call their service dept. Thet're really good about that. that;s how I know their rachets are now made of a harder material.

good luck, and let us know how it turns out!!!!!!!

Yes, we know you love it....but relax, it's not the board causing the problems.
