I've got a Tippmann C-3 and it's electronic trigger isn't working properly, its emitting a high pitched noise
, and is rarely sparking properly. I've already determined it's not because of old batteries, but I'm not sure what else could be causing it. Oh yea, and one last thing, is there some sort of email address to contact Tippmann by? I can't seem to find it on their website unless I'm going blind... |

these are just suggestions i have from a bit of electical experience. not to undermine your intellegence but how did you determine that it was not the battery? i ask because i have bought batteries before and they were dead out of the package. may want to try hooking up a voltmeter to the battery and see what its putting out. it should be 1.5 to 1.2 volts. anything less and it probably wont have enough to work. also i would check the wiring going to the coil. if there is high resistance in the circuit it will cause the spark generated by the coil to be much weaker. if you have taken the gun completely apart i would suggest inpsecting and cleaning the sparking surface.

If you have broken a ball in the gun there is a problem with the C3 that allows some of the paint goo get into the firing chamber and it will not correctly spark until it is cleaned out.

Zelotic, I put several batteries into it to make sure it wasn't a battery, each was even a different brand. Come to think of it a ball did break... Guess that means I'll have to take it all the way apart...
Thanks for the help though. |

If you are going to play outlaw ball and there is not a convient cheap source of CO2/HPA available it's kind of a good idea. You get something like 10,000 shots per propane tank. They actually work fairly well. I've actually thought of buying one off a friend so I can take it apart and do some pump mods for fun. They also sound pretty cool when they are shot and you could not ask for a better cold weather gun since it'll also serve as a hand warmer.

Shooting Psyko its a pump with propane that fires by sparking a spark plug. Why did i want one? Because I like it, its actually a really nice marker when it works. Its just giving me some trouble right now which is really annoying.
