Atlanta Pump Tournament

Well after some months of pondering on the idea, i have finally decided to put on a pump tournament which will be hosted by Paintball Atlanta. I personally have been playing pump for years now, and i can say that this will be a fun event. And as long as the teams come, I'll be sure to have everyone going home tired from the amount of games that will be played.

Here's The Need to know-

Scoring will be as follows-

10 points for every live player on your team
10 points for every opposing player you eliminate
20 points for first flag pull
20 points for flag hang

Paint-

BYOP, and we will also have some for purchase.
50 round hoppers will be the largest hoppers around.
(There will be some available for purchase)
There are no limits carrying paint on the field.

Air-

CO2, N2, and 12 grams will be available.
(12g boxes will NOT be included in your entry fee)

Waivers MUST be signed before play. Either print, or sign at the event.

Directions to the Field

-Ross

This is going to be an event run by me, not the PBA owner. The entry is cheap, the paint is my selection which will be a fair price, i have hand picked the refs that i trained, so this should be a fun event. I honestly can't see why any paintballer would have any reason to not enjoy themselves at this tournament.

I will have the flyer ready once i get the final price on the paint. but for now-

camping- yes

fires- no (too close to netting, and I'm not rehanging netting for the rest of my life if I can help it)

entry fee- $100

paint- still looking at engage, but waiting to see what what pricing will be. I know it may be a bit more expensive than heat, but I personally put it high on my list of "great paint", and I know better than most that with pump, every shot counts. I'll try and keep the pricing low the best I can.

Reffing situation- I have hand picked 4 Refs that I have personally trained, and they know how things should be run, and are also a very familiar with tournaments. I will be the Ultimate Judge for this (Head Ref for many years now), and I assure you I am very fair and would like nothing more than to see everyone leave happy and tired.

Food- I'm still hoping that enough teams come so we can provide food, but if not we have grills ready (which will also be available Friday night for the campers), and we are very close to tons of fast food.

Air- We will have both n2 and co2 available along with some 12grams if any body needs them.

Extras- After the game, given we have any day light left, I wouldn't mind reffing or grabbing my gun and joining in on a large woodsball game or some quick games on our smaller fields.

As mentioned before, I should have a finalized flyer out this week along with the description for the scoring format and paint prices. So help spread the word to our brothers, and I hope this turns out to be a great event.

Ref,
If you want to stay in that price range, try shooting Formula 13 or ZEN...Check your PM from me on this.
I did some testing on both lines today with my Sterlings. Both were darts at 290 with a matched barrel.
No squirrels and both did well in the heat/humidity. Get with PBA and have them get you some samples.

I might be able to stir the pot and scour up some raffle stuff...possibly...

Anyone needing a fill-in to complete their trio, lemme know and I'll do my best to jump in.
I may be old but I can still pump it...um...play with it...dammit. You know what I mean.
