The CFOA confirmed today that the grand prize in the novice division of the CFOA Smoky Mountain Roundup would be five Dye DM6 paintball guns with a combined retail value of $6,995. Hosted by Chattanooga’s Insane Paintball, a lavish new facility with both indoor and outdoor playing fields and a world-class pro-shop, the CFOA’s fourth major event of 2006 is the latest in a season already averaging 120 teams per date.
“Dye is an amazing sponsor,” stated the CFOA’s Sponsorship Director, Joshua D. Silverman, who continued “their flagship marker, the DM6, is a remarkable piece of equipment used by the best players and teams in the game. To hand five of them to a team at one of our events is an honor.” Teams currently competing with the DM6 include the illustrious Los Angeles Ironmen, 2005 National XBall League World Champions Baltimore Trauma, the venerable Chicago Aftershock, New York Xtreme, Las Vegas LTZ and Gridlock. Oliver Lang, voted the world’s best player by PGi Magazine, shoots the Dye DM6 along with Rob Staudinger, Tyler Humphrey, Chris Lasoya and Mike Paxson.
In addition to the world’s best five-man competition, the CFOA offers the hottest format in paintball, XBall, to its customers for 2006. Players from Florida to Virginia and from South Carolina to Missouri and Louisiana are now able to enjoy the traditional five-man play for which the CFOA became popular or step up to the same format played by top professional paintball athletes, XBall. The CFOA’s customers are enjoying an epic season in 2006, thanks in no small part to the contribution of valued sponsors like Dye Precision, Proto Paintball, Draxxus, XBall, Empire, Smart Parts, Planet Eclipse, Greg Hastings’ Tournament Paintball and many, many more.
