The CFOA, the world's largest five-man tournament series, awarded five remarkable Dye DM6 paintball guns to the 2006 Smoky Mountain Roundup novice division Champions, the Circus Runaways. The five-man event, hosted by Chattanooga's amazing new Insane Paintball facility, featured two indoor and two outdoor fields of play as well as indoor staging areas and a trade show attended by Planet Eclipse, Paintball Kingdom, Boost Custom Paintball, DerDer Productions, Paintball Central, PaintballPics.net and Ground Zero Paintball.
Chattanooga, a historically rich and vibrant city, welcomed both paintball and the CFOA with open arms as 115 five-man teams converged on the area. Television coverage from local stations including Channel 12, Channel 9 and Channel 46 brought paintball into tens of thousands of homes, while local newspapers announced the event as well. Paintball media on-hand for the Smoky Mountain Roundup included Paintball Games International magazine, FaceFull magazine, Paintball 2Xtremes Magazine and Paintball Sports Magazine, while DerDer Productions cameras filmed the intense action from inside the net.
"Insane Paintball is one of the most remarkable facilities in the world, located in a beautiful city," said Joshua D. Silverman of the CFOA. "To award our wonderful customers with these awesome prizes in such a great setting is something I'll never forget."
Major sponsors of the CFOA include Dye, Proto, Draxxus, XBall, VForce, Empire, Smart Parts, Shocktech, Planet Eclipse, Greg Hastings' Tournament Paintball, PGi Magazine and DerDer Productions. For a complete listing of CFOA sponsors, upcoming events, registration information and more, visit
