Walker Steps Down as General Manager of the NPPL

Shawn Walker to focus on West Coast NPPL Feeder Series "The XPSL"

Huntington Beach, Ca. - After six months of service as General Manager of the National Professional Paintball League (NPPL), Shawn Walker is stepping down. The NPPL fully supports Walker as he leaves the league to concentrate on running the West Coast NPPL Feeder Series (the XPSL) and co-hosting the popular television show "Inside Paintball", which broadcasts on the Outdoor Channel every Saturday morning.

Walker said "Working with the NPPL has been great but, there are only so many hours in the day. The XPSL has enjoyed tremendous growth and I look forward to focusing my time and realizing the full potential of the league. I will continue to help make tournament paintball the best it can be. The future is very bright."

The NPPL will continue to work closely with Walker on developing and improving NPPL Feeder Event procedures and policies. The XPSL is an Official NPPL Feeder Series and has been using the NPPL Rules and the Seven-Player format for the last three years. This West Coast Series has seen substantial growth and is the largest NPPL Feeder Series with over 100 teams attending each event thus far.

The NPPL Official Feeder Series program offers ID cards, player tracking, ranking, team statistics and many other benefits to both the player and promoters. Go to www.nppl.tv for more information on a feeder series in your area or contact Chuck Hendsch at Chuck@NPPL.tv for more information on how to become a Feeder Event.

The National Professional Paintball League sanctions and governs Paintball tournaments and play. Paintball teams compete and are awarded points in five divisions Professional, Semi Pro, Division I, Division II and Division III, to determine an overall Paintball champion in each division. The NPPL is committed to setting rules, standards and guidelines for safe, competitive, fair paintball competitions worldwide. For more information please visit www.nppl.tv or call (714) 536-9050.

"To be the world wide governing body of the sport of Paintball, to ensure safe competitive play for our members and teams, to support our players and the paintball industry by showcasing paintball as a major sport with integrity and professionalism at the highest level" - NPPL Mission Statement
