Aerion Health Update

I'm sure some folks are wondering where I am. Unfortunately, my recovery from my foot surgery is far slower than I expected. My orthopaedic surgeon did a poor job of setting my expectations in this regard. I said my foot would be 100% better after I recovered from the surgury but he didn't tell me that recovery would take six months.

In the last couple of weeks, my limp as begun to diminish as I'm able to push off my right foot when I walk. This is a huge improvement for me. I had an appointment last week and the doc said I'd be fully healed in about another three months. Walking on uneven ground (like the woods) is still difficult for me though it is starting to improve.

I'll probably come out a Saturday or two in the next month or so and hang out for a bit but I won't be playing until my foot feels completely healed.

But I am still lurking on the forums. I come here pretty much at least once a day to keep up with what's going on. I'm looking forward to getting back out on the field soon.

And on the pedestal these words appear:

"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains: round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away
.

Don't worry man it'll work out. I'm currently in the same situation as you, not foot wise though.

After the Doc put some metal and screws in my wrist last summer it took almost a year before I wasn't afraid to really push it to it's limits. Hopefully you heal up faster. Take it easy and don't reinjure it. Doc gave me a choice to do physical therapy and I thought I could do that myself, well didn't take me long to change my mind once the cast came off and it really helped speed up the process. All those holes at TT are not easy on feet and ankles. Good luck.
