Home skillet you are right most people are over shot by multiple players. One thing I see that happens a lot, is when you are shooting at multiple targets, the first person that gets shots moves into the line of fire of the other guys that are standing behind him or (her).

You are fighting a good fight as part of a loosing battle. We need more people like you in the sport.

Any scenario promoter has the ability to limit or cap the hardware allowed in the games they produce. They need to hear from the players to determine what is appropriate or not.

The scenario I just produced last week had almost ZERO overshooting, and ramping was not allowed. Players will get kicked out of the game for multiple (2 or more) overshooting events, regardless of the hardware they use. The game we produced at PBC back in June did allow ramping, and overshooting was a small issue. We still enforce the 3 break rule & players should understand the penalty for breaking it.

Personally, ramping is an electronic tool that is primairly utilized to compensate for lack of skill. Professionally, this tool has also become a safety and sportsmanship issue. The ramping hardware is here to stay. What the players and promoters do with it is up to US!!!

I would discourage any promoter or field owner to allow ramping hardware outside of the speedball arena. There is a significant down side, and very little benefit to the field. PBC does not allow ramping (with very few exceptions) due to the on-field issues it tends to "inspire". From a field owners perspective, I have far fewer headaches with this limit in place. PRICELESS!!!

Ramping isn't needed in woodsball...

I dont see your point that it is a lack of skill. Our team does just fine, so if you play with house rental gun you are much better player?
