We can put on an event quickly. Can’t be speedball related for now, but woods ball, general play or a mini-scenario are all options. I would be open for an event this Saturday, (the 23rd), if we keep to basic rec – woods ball. All field fees can be donated to the fund set up by Bank of America to benefit the families of the 9?
We have a radio event on the 30th, so next Saturday is out & the following Saturday (post July 4th) is always a slow weekend.
We could do a mini-scenario the following Saturday (Jul 14th) with a part (or all) of the admissions being donated to the same charity (or another Charleston firefighter fund)
I am open to suggestions and would definitely like to get the ball rolling quickly. As Brain stated, people will start to forget way too soon and move on with their self-centered lives.
I’ll confirm with Brain, but we should be able to donate the proceeds from this Saturday AND host a mini (12-14 hour?) scenario on the 14th with the admissions going to the appropriate charity.
