Thread: Benefit event for S.C. Firefighters

Date Set for event: July 14th, 2007 !

If you are interested in participating in an event to benefit the families of those firefighters tragically lost in the fire in Charleston, SC, please post here.

If you are a field/store owner that would like to contribute in any way (Paint donations, prize donations, etc.), please post here as well. More information coming! Read through this thread for more details!

If you frequent a field in your area that is not on this list, please, let them know about it!

You can contribute by playing, donating time, paint, prizes, or any combination of the above. Please keep checking back here for more information.

A little to far for us to participate, but we'll contribute...

What would it be? Like just a fund rasier or a benifit game where all profit goes to the family, what?

We can have someone put on a scenario event or whatever. The best spot would be at Paintball Charleston (IMO). Players pay an amount for entry, all proceeds go to the fund that is set up for the families. (See link on other post.)

Again, you are not committing to anything here, I would just like to see what kind of interest there is. If there is enough interest, with help from other field/store owners, perhaps we can see what we can do to make it happen!

What would you like to do?

How about a North/South game. Divide the PBJunkie area somewhere and make a scenario game out of it... Also, for speedballers, a two, three or five man tournament. (Haven't been to your facililty yet, but I would like to come visit some day.) We can work out everything as we see the interest.

I think it is a great idea, let me know how 3 or 4 able spirits can help.

If I can make it, I would love to come.

I would like to play also if I can come (date dependent). I think PBC is a fine place for this event.

One thing we could do easily would be to create a 1 day game with all proceeds going to the fund that has been established for the firefighters. It would need to be soon because people that are not directly involved tend to forget about events like this and they have low attendance because of it.
So in other words, a simple 1 day big game with all profit going to a fund (there are a lot of 100% ones already).
