I just can't see any use for any setting on an electronic paintball marker at a scenario game other than SEMI. The ROF cap may vary, but the "becoming more common" 13 BPS seems sensible, if not lower. And the guys with reactive triggers should also be addressed as being equally responsible for controlling their technology, albeit non-electric...

Another area in this topic to address would be during MOUT/close quarter games. It's a given you're going to get "lit up" in these, but teammates often use eliminated players as shields. The eliminated player gets upset because he is still drawing fire, but doesn't recognize his "buddy" is still playing on behind him. I think it is important to brief individuals to take this into account and get out of the way as soon as possible when tagged. It's also good for both sides to use sportsmanship and have clear heads in these situations.

I'd say that it would be a safe thing to preface this entire section, John, with a paragraph saying that there are many ways to view overshooting. What was said earlier though, about INTENT, is a very important factor and should be considered in all cases of alleged overshooting. While no publication can do the Ref's job, the guidelines we have published, will give the Ref a meter which he can use to assist in making a fair and intelligent decision on the field.
