Pump markers are preferred, but not required. Semi-Auto markers will be restricted to semi only, and may have additional "balancing" restrictions on them. (May only carry a hopper, no pods.. No Hopper, feedneck fills only, etc..)

    ----------------

I would encourage you to go for the throat and make it a TRUE pump game. I understand the logic, but if pump's whatsup, then pump it should be.

As a cynic, I have observed that with more rules and exceptions to them, come more grey area, and with grey area comes questionability. ala finger pointing...hey that guy put more paint in his hopper etc...

I understand your point, Drewcif, I just don't want to preclude the local players in my area, most of who don't even know the pump markers exist, from participating. If these show up at the field during the game, I don't want to turn them away. I feel the best way for them to experience paintball and pump play, is to be on the field when it is going on.

As such, I would like to find a way where they are held to the same rate of fire that the pump players are, or that they at least have a restriction to give semi-auto players the feel of what a pump player is all about. My goal, of course, is to get more people into better paintball, and the best way to play paintball is to learn with a pump-marker. (Weird coming from a CFOA speedball player, but it's true...)

hopperball is an easy way to "level" the playing field -- i.e. no pods or spare paint for anyone on the field. Ive run and played in mixed games w/ the hopperball restriction and it works well -- patience, deception, teamwork, stealth, speed and movement become important aspects of the game for all.

tip: if you spay and pray - you become hunted sooner rather than later.

We are pretty much all woods with some different elements thrown in. You can check out our website at Palmetto Paintball of Sumter, SC - Home where you can find some pics of the field. Altogether, we have 45 acres of varying terrain to use.
