    Site down

If anyone is looking for us, our site is down, and something has gone amiss with the domain registration. We are attempting to fix. In the mean time, if you need us, just post here.

Site is still down. Apparently, when I registered the domain name, the registration went to the company name that originally handled the site. I paid for 6 years registration of the domain, which apparently expired in January. Since the company closed its' doors and sold all of its assets to another company, which has also gone out of business, I didn't get a bill for my domain name renewal. Hence, my site went down when the domain expired.

So our status is... We are trying to work with our new hosting company to take over the domain, and get our site back up. Worst case scenario, We will be down until Feb 10, when the domain gets automatically released.

In the mean time, feel free to leave me a PM here if needed. (My email was tied to the domain, so it is down as well.)

Do everything you can to keep your domain name. Don't rest until you TALK to a human and secure the site. When it comes "up" for release, you better bet that a few hundred "cyber squatters" have already lined up for your domain. If you don't have it secured by the 10th, SOMEBODY else will swipe it from you.

Same thing happened to our old site at paintballcharleston. com site. We had it set up for an annual revolving billing cycle. When our credit cards were re-issued (normal 2-3 year life cycle for a visa card), a payment was missed, and the domain was released to the public.

TRUST ME!!! There are companies out there that have already lined up for your site. They are already in line, in front of you. If it comes up for "open" renewal, you will loose it.

In our case, the fricken cyber squatter is willing to sell my domain back to me for about $10k!!! SCREW THEM!!! We are now PaintballCharleston.net!!!

Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man" Thomas Jefferson

Okay.. we are still having problems with www.palmettopaintball.com, so we have gone with Palmetto Paintball Field and Store for the time being. Eventually, we will get the regular domain straightened out.

    Thanks for the patience guys.
