Yea, I was the one operating the tank...The only reason we fired on them is due to the fact that they started firing on us...I was there to support them...so after my obviously color blind brothers in arms opened up on us and had sufficiently covered my lens in splatter I ordered my gunner to return fire...thus contributing to your memories...lol

Stonedragon, we all make mistakes. As long as we learn from mistakes and don't repeat them, that's what counts. Honest mistakes are much more tolerable than the blatant purposeful ones. In a sense, I think when posting on peoples mistakes, we all hope that people learn from what we post. While it is everyone's responsibility to know the rule, one can forget during the heat of the battle.
I think it is big of you to post and admit to your mistake. That tells me you will become one of the honest players on the field. That is to be commended and hold your head high. I have been shot and not even known it before.
I felt dumb when a ref called me out and no one even fired a ball at me when he called me out. It was an honest mistake.

Must have been the vichy french troops. 4:

Honestly though I have shot my own guys before...Behind a layer of screen and a splattered up mask sometimes the only way to tell who is who is which way they're pointing. IMHO danger from friendly fire only adds to the realism....

One of the things I'd like to advise all tankers to do (as we do) is to chrono about 250 -260. Since tanks can close or flank quickly on someone already engaged in a gunfight the lower speed can reduce the 'hard feelings' :.

The Bug was actually able to surrender about 10 guys on a run when the paintball gun went down due to mechanical problems.

BTW, Tip of the HAT to all the Refs there. This was the best reffed game tank wise I've seen (out of 20 games) period.

Now as for the parking lot comments...The BlackHearts logged 26 hrs on field out of a possible 30 total including rtbs for fuel, paint and air and a dead starter relay in the Warthog. I think the AN tank actually got the parking lot award this time for whatever reason. Havok: Your award for best 'One G strafing target' is in the mail....:

ill be prepared for airstrikes next game. that plane was awesome. one of the most unique scenario props i have seen to date.

ill have you know we are making the proper adjustments and repairing the body damage it sustained on the small roads. having a working launcher would have been nice, having markers tough enough to take the abuse as well (went thru 3 in the front and i believe 4 in the turret). so we will make sure that is not an issue at the next event. we did however cause a good bit of damage on the field.

    During my rampage-
    50-80 players- using 2 guns
3-4 tank kills- one working cannon
28 trees down- one BadA** WartHog
Watching SoCo/Jay giggle like a child back at the campsite- priceless.

I have to admit that shit was fun. Just wish the turret was more secure then it is. Having to balance holding a gun 8-10 pods of paint and rockets is not fun.

I think i lost 5-6 pods of paint in the turret with ross driving.
