Guess it's time to start a new thread for the October game at Bear Claw - Operation Overlord: Waves of Steel! As you know this will be the last of the 2 events that make up the 10th year Anniversary Series. Believe me when I tell you this will be the biggest event we've ever held at Bear Claw.
The Landing will encompass the whole north end of the field from Death Inc.'s bunkhouse, around the curve, up to the road. Bob and MPP are committed to making the beach landing the most realistic we have ever done with pyrotechnics, sound effects, and a few surprise... Add to this airborne operations, naval operations, and tank on tank battles, and what we have is one serious scenario paintball game! Speaking of naval operations, would anyone be interested in creating a battle ship with heavy guns (one of those balloon launching slingshots you use at the beach)? I would love to see if that could soften up the beach just prior to the landing.
We want to take this opportunity to extend an invitation to command either the Allied or German forces that took part in this battle. Allied General will command the First Army - his XOs will command the Seventh and Fifth Corps. We will need teams of 25+ to command the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. We will need a tank commander to command the 2nd Armored Division although we have a good idea who that might be! The German commander of the 7th Army will need XOs for the 716th and the 352nd beach defense troops, for the initial landing. After the landing, XOs for the LXXIV Corp and the 91st Division. To counter 2nd Armour the 21st Panzer Division will require a hard driving commander!
If you are interested ,let us know. Looking forward to hearing from you and see you in October!
Early registration will allow us to give you the team side you want (all papers and paid!) and still keep the sides balanced. That will always make for the best game possible.
Let the smack talk begin............................................. ..
